Checking out Plurk!
We all know how unstable Twitter has been the last few weeks, or has always been. So is it time for something new? Lets put it this way, there’s finally a real Twitter competitor, with the time line and the @ replies and the 140 character limit. It’s Called Plurk! Leo Laporte just sent out an invite to everybody following him on twitter.
So as a web 2.0 junkie I saw it as my task to sign up.
So whats it all about, it’s really allot like twitter, a bit more flashy with ajax stuff etc, It doesn’t look that simple. Just take a look at this picture:
It looks really pretty, but I can’t take a quick glance at it an know what my friends are doing. I like the list on twitter allot more.
Anyway I suggest you try it, and take a look for your self. If you want to add me I’m ‘Tales‘ on Plurk.

Update: Seems alot of people are giving it a try, who knows maybe it really will be the twitter replacement
Update 2: Plurk seems to be dying already, If you try to upload a picture to your profile: ‘ Due to server move picture uploading is currently disabled.
It will be re-enabled during tomorrow - monday.’
Do you happen to have an invite left for me? I haven’t been around much for the past few days and I missed all about this (and I don’t follow Leo afaik)

Click on that Click here link and then go back to the frontpage of Plurk It should say: Alex Fa. Has an invite for you etc and then you can sign up
